Style Summary

  • Adhere to name groups. Click on 'sitemap' upper right to see what goes where.
  • Create a new page by linking to it in the wiki editor. A red link will appear, leading you to the new page.
  • DO NOT manually add spells on the wiki itself. Use the tools here.
  • The add spell page can be slow. Wait patiently after submitting for a popup. The page will send a message for succcess or failure.
  • Page titles are H1 (heading 1), nothing else. Go down one step for each 'lower' heading after that. Don't skip headers.
  • Add white lines between paragraps with \\

Extended Style Guide

The wiki editor

There is no button to add new pages. Instead, you add a page by creating a link to it.

  1. Go to the homepage;
  2. Click edit (page or section);
  3. Enter [[Your Page Name]] and save;
  4. A red link now appears. Click the link and create the page.

Some oddities in the wiki editor:

  • Previous versions of spell pages are not available, because they are added externally. Internal edits get saved as different page versions that you can still access.
  • There is no ‘delete’ button. To get rid of a page, remove all its content. Then remove any links to the page. You can easily see what pages link the your current by selecting ‘backlinks’, right under the edit button.
  • Be mindful of the name group you put a page in.
  • Page names are not case sensitive and spaces in the name are replaced by underscores. “Acid Splash” and “acid_splash” will link to the same thing

Name groups

Pages are ordered under name groups. This is literally the folder structure where all the page files are kept behind the scenes.

You can click on ‘sitemap’ (top right corner) to see the name groups and what they contain. When referring to a page, it's important to have the name group right, or the page won't be found.
